Finally got time to post. Took the 99Z to a local dyno day. Results weren't too bad. The car is stock mechanically, with the exception of a soon to be removed flowturd muffler. The GMMG cat back is going on in Dec. It currently has 104,000 + miles on it.
Peak #'s are: rwhp= 283.0, rwtq=297.35
I was gonna post the pic, but it says I cant post attatchments. Guess I have to post more or something? :iceslolan
Anyway here's a link to my cardomain site:

What do ya'll think? Okay for stock? I'm going to try and dyno after each mod if I can so I can tell what works and what doesn't.

Well the dyno run cost $35 for two runs without air/fuel maps, $45 with. A/f not really needed with stock car. Those # are on a dyno jet dyno, not mustang dyno. The motor is a ls1 ( Stock in 98-02 Z28) Local boards often have dyno days and the cost is therefore very reasonable. Not sure how much a run would cost if it wasn't on a dyno day.

Thanks, I was pleasantly surprised by the #'s posted. I thought I had closer to 250 hp or so.
I think it helps that I live near Houston, and there are several shops that do the dynos, and they are all also heavily involved in the local boards. I use to think that a run cost @75-100 so never went.

I went to a camaro clubs dyno day and had my car thrown on there for 40 bucks. There was a guy with a stock ls1 who came real close to 300. They were able to hook his car upto their computer though and change a few settings and squeeze out a bit more power.
I think the automatic eats up a little more power than the 6 sped because I know ive heard of guys pulling 300hp stock.

You lose a lot of power through the drivetrain unless it's all Hi-per.
Dyno's out at RMR only cost 25 bucks but that's only after you've gotten something else like registered for drags or whatever. Free if you have a sponsor.
