99 odometer not viewable

The odometer and drive gear lights don't work, unless it's extremley cold or hot! Or I bang the dash board hard. Any ideas?

Only way I would know to ensure a fix is to get a new instrument cluster. ~$150 on eBay. Why not shoot for a another $50 and put in a Denali or Escalade cluster.

mine went out too, I tried resoldering some points in there but it only worked for a while, this is a very common and disappointing problem
