I have a 95 eclipse with a 420a and would like to swap in a 4a63. Will the 4a63 bolt right in or will i need to make some mods. Any info will help.

What engine can I swap into my GS/RS ? - ashah000
The only engine that can be directly swaped is the one that is in there right now (the 420a).
You can swap a GS-T engine into the car but it would be extremely difficult and costly.
Here are the costs (from 2gnt)
1. 4G63 turbo engine (stock) $1500
2. transmission (stock GS-T FWD) $500
3. wiring harness for engine $300
4. 4G63 ECU (stock) $300
5. shift linkage $200
6. custom engine mounts $200
7. chassis cross member $100
8. complete exhaust $200
9. intercooler, turbo, related parts $500
10. boost gauge/fuel filter, etc $300
11. Installation $1500
Total - $5600
You can also swap in a 2.4L from a Dodge Stratus/PT cruiser. This is easier than the GS-T swap, however it does require some custom faberication. Also it would be backwards (the header would be on the firewall side)
This is straight from the FAQ sticky at the top of the page. Please refer to that before asking a question.

No, after a little more research on my part. I have found that I should get more out of the 420a than the 4a63. There are tubro charge 420a engine making 500+ hp.

you can't just push 500+ through your stock engine....any engine produced can produce 500+ hp but there's also that little thing called money tied in somewhere. i've seen tons of 4g63's making 500+ hp and i have yet to see ONE 420 hit the 500 hp mark. not trying to be an ass but that same quetsion gets asked at least once a day, do your research, then ask questions.

How hard would it be to swap a turbo PT cruiser motor in. What do you have to do. Just wondering.

the pt cruiser turbo is what a 2.4 ? its not a 4g64 is it?

its similar to a 420A, but its backwards (like in a neon, intake in the front, exhaust in the back)
