95 GT - keyless entry programming?

Got a problem, which I'm sure you've all heard before and I can't seem to figure out.
I got my car with a new keyless entry remote, but the guy from the car lot said it still needs to be programmed. I've found plenty of forums and such which explain how to do it.. but I still don't understand.
I'm not willing to pay the Ford dealership to do it for me.
1. Turn ignition switch to RUN or ACC position and momentarily short the two terminals of the Program Connector (two-pin connector next to the remote keyless entry module. Remove LH luggage compartment trim panel to reach the connector). Both doors should lock and then unlock. Remove shorting pin.
I've looked in the trunk compartment... .pulled out some of the corner trim, and still found nothing. (Well, I did find the emergency fuel pump shutoff switch, but thats beside the point)
If someone can give more specific directions, or at least point me in a direction which would that would be great. :)
Thanks in advance.

I cant be sure but i seem to remember the mod being on the underside of the rear deck inside the trunk or under the covering on the rear deck

I'll check tomorrow, but if its the same as most Fords here it is. Turn the ignition(starting in the off position) on and off quickly 8 times ending in the on position. Your locks will then lock and unlock saying its ready. Press any button on the new controller once. Your locks will lock and unlock again. Your done.

Well, in answer to your question, remove the inner trunk panel on the drivers side of the car. You said you found the fuel pump switch, that is located at the very rear, so look on the flat panel on the left side (Outter fender) and there should be a large plastic looking box. Mine has a gray plug visible on the outside of it...That is what you are looking for. Short the two prongs with a screwdriver, the doors will lock and unlock....You are supposed to press one of the remote buttons following the lock and unlock to set the remote...
Unfortunately, I've done this on mine (96 GT), doors lock and unlock, but nothing when I try to program the remote.....I've even tried the on and off 8 times thing.....Shouldn't any Ford Remote work??? Does it have to be a remote for a specific year???

The directions stang_racer20 provided are Mustangs 97(98?) and newer, and also most other Ford Models of the same years.
I even read the Owners Manual provided on the Ford.com Website and it didn't provide directions.
I will definately take another look in the trunk fender paneling this time... and see what I come up with.

I Figured it out, and the remote works like a charm!
I followed the advice of motorjock205 and pulled of the side of the trunk liner...and there it was. A grey colored plug of the sort. It looks similar to a male sided outlet plug. I just took a Flat-head screwdriver and shorted the two prongs.
Thank you much!
