the power steering pump in my Starion is fried. I have never changed one before but maybe one of you guys has. I know its not for the 3000GT but I figure its just like a water pump or an alternator where "if you've seen one then you've seen em all". is there anything particularly tricky about a p.s. pump?

well its between the engine and the firewall, below the rear head, and too close to the edge of the engine bay to pull it out the side. I didnt completely remove mine, but it was unbolted and hanging there for a while. If yur lucky you can remove the main pully and pull it out that way. If not then be ready to pull the rear turbo.

What? no dude, the 3000GT is fine, the problem is on my other car. I just never done one before and dont know if its something I can handle. Are power steering pumps callibrated in anyway, are they dellicate, or is it like swapping out water pumps where "if it fits, it'll work". I just need to know if there is anything about how a p.s.pump works that I should know before I unbolt it. thanks.
