heres another fun question for you guys...im just full of problems i guess....ok, service engine lights on...how do i find out what its on for? and isnt there a way to do it without hooking it up to a computer?

yes there is. all you need is a paper clip. bend it into a u shape, get under the dash ( below the steering collum ) on the right there is the diagnosticport. bridge the A and B slots over. just turn the key to the on pos. then just watch the s.e.s light it will flash 14 to let you know that the diagnostic is working then it will flash the codes to you. then just post us the codes and we will try and help you

question....how do i know which slots are A and B...they arent labled

i see that you have a 95 i was thinking you maybe had a 3rd gen. so they are different. i dont know,

i found on a website an obd1 labled and i crossed ports 5 and 6 like they said....my engine fan came on....that cant be right...can it?

how many slots does an obd2 plug have? all of the obd1 plugs i have found online only have 12 and mine has 16 i think but under the hood it says i have obd1...

you cant jump an OBD 1 or 2 like you are asking. you have to have a code reader to get what the light is on for. if you have an auto zone around you, they scan codes for free. other than that, you have to take it to a shop, unless you are like me and have a code scanner at your house...
