Ive been wondering this for quite some time on my 99 gtp. If i take take off from a light lets say and and do a hard acceleration and let it shift at around 4 grand for example nothing will register on the boost guage even tho im reving my engine that high. But if im already at a cruizing speen of lets say 40 mph and step on the gas then the boost guage registers fine if i take it to the same rpm. Is this right? How exactly doea that boost guage work? If anyone could explain this to me i would really appreciate it. Thanks

The boost gauge in the dash is not accurate but does read when there is pressure in the intake from the SC. It sounds like you may have a loose connection in the dash and under acceleration is loosing connection

I think most of us agree that the stock boost gauge is essentially worthless. Install an aftermarket gauge if you want to capture accurate boost readings.
