My antenna wont go down when car is turned off, you can hear the motor trying to pull it down. Tried to push it down by hand and lubricated it, with no success. Am purchasing junkyard one and would appreciate installation procedure help. Thank you

:smokin:Hello My Fellow Aurora Driver.
To replace the atenna is easy, Its loacted as you know in the right rear wheel well part of the trunk.
There is the cover that removes 2or three hand screw plastic bolts and the cover comes off.
The atennia has 2 or 3 bolts that you need to unscrew.
Then there is the trunk cap, that is the little hole where the atennia pushes out., There is not need to unplug the battery.
You need to unscrew that from inside.
The arennia job should take about a half hour.
If that one from the junk yard does not work, there is always some one selling parts on Ebay for your Aurora.
Good Luck.

Thanks alot I will give it a try. Any ideas about shaving the antenna and relocating with say a smaller one above back windshield or somthing, just a thought.

I replaced mine with a new acdelco one. Cost $100!!! Seemed like an aweful lot to spend on an antenna. But I wanted genuine parts. The last antenna lasted 150,000 miles. Hopefully this one does too. But I was suprised that the new ones are universal so I had to do modifications with the brakets to make the new one work. But it's installed and has been working perfect for a few months now.
