LS V6 misfiring

I have a 00 V6 that has a misfiring problem that has gotten progressively worse. It started about 6 mos ago, with just a slightly rough idle occassionally. It is now to where it will hardly idle, and even dies at stoplights or when it idles for more than a few minutes. Just about 2 weeks ago I had a check engine light to come on. I pulled the codes and they were p1071 and p1074, system too lean bank 1. This is refering to the oxygen sensor I believe. I have yet to replace the oxygen sensors, but I have replaced the spark plugs and changed out the EGR valve with no luck on either. I really don't think that this is an oxygen sensor problem though. I don't think that it is a vacuum line leak, but I am not positive.
The car has about 94,000 miles on it and this problem has really made me frustrated. If anyone could help me with this quickly, I would appreciate it.
I have read that the MAF sensor could be dirty. Does anyone know were this is located?

MAF is to the left of the Air Box, it is held down with 2 star screws. I would bet the bank on it that you have a bad coil on one of your plugs. You have 6 coils, known as coil on plug or COP, and they do have a high failure rate.
In your case the 3 on the drivers side are very easy to replace vs those on the passenger side are most difficult. In or to replace the COPs on the passenger side plugsyou have to remove your intake. Not a fun task for the faint of heart or for those not faint of heart but lack the adequate tools to prefm the job.

el es,
I'm in the same boat as jamr, so do yo know how or where to the get the manual for changing out the coils on the left side. I have been dumping loads of money on my 2000 LS V6 trying to lick this prblem, had spark plugs changed, vacumm line replaced, manifold gasket repalced and still the linc stalls when idling at a stop light. So, is the coils. If so can you replace the faulty one or should all be replaced at once???????????? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks................

jamr, did you get any info on or do you know how to change the coils. I think my problem is the same are yours. I have been told on several ocassions that the coils can cause that sputtering and shut off during idling, have you changed all six coils on your 00 LS V6???????????????
