I have a 98 ranger with some idle problems.. It does either 2 things. It will idle high when I put the clutch in (2K) or it will almost stall when I push the clutch in.
If my idle is high when I push the clutch in I can come to a stop and tap the gas. This drops it back down to normal range.
Any suggestions???

Not a clue I have a 98 too and mine has never done that. My high idle works as it's supposed to, so yours is probably a computer problem.

Your truck controls idle with the idle air control valve. Sounds like it's sticking. Check your throttle plate for binding too.
