93 325i check engine light

my 93 325i check engine light comes on when the car is at idle for more than a minute. some times rpms raise to 15000 when at a stop. when i turn the car off and back on again the light clears. untill im at another long stop. any info would be greatly appreciated. when driving it tends to come on when the motor reaches normal temp. very confused i am

tps is the throttle position sensor its on the throttle body .
