tailgate windows won't work

i think that the fuse burned out on my 96 4runner but i don't know which fuse it is does anyone know?

Try this first. Check the rear wiper blade, if not fully up in the proper position, rear window will not operate.

Glad to hear your windows working....My 86 rear window quit working because the switch in the tailgate latch on the drivers side crapped out. I took it all apart and fixed it once, but when it started acting up again I just by-passed it. I took a 2 inch long piece of wire bent it in a U shape and inserted it into the outside 2 contacts of the wire connector that runs to the tailgate latch, then taped it up. This by-passed the switch in the latch and everything has been working great since! Just dont hit the roll window up button when your gate is down!!
