Got My Bose System!!!

IT CAME IN!!! and i could not be happier with it. all the plastic is in excelent condition, carpet is completely glued down, no loose peices, no torn peices, no stains. all the small bits and peices are there, and the wiring harness is complete from back to front, no cuts, all the grounds, all the relays, all the connectors, its all there. only downside is that the guy left it sittin in the back of a shop where the spiders found it, so i had to peel back the carpeting in order to open up the boxes to vacume all the webs and dead bugs out of them. but i got em all clean, and inside away from bugs and such, so now im goin to finish getting my speakers ordered. replace all the bose stuff with sony stuff, store the bose equipment in a safe place. wire up the sony stuff, head unit, amp, and 8 speakers. then put the carpet in, then put the dash back in, and find a doner car with all black interior stuff, so i can finish the interior, then finish the extereior, engine, and rear, and start scaring old ladies and children on sunday drives :)

I would spend more and stay away from sony.

i concur on the sony stuff, im not a fan. however, pictures are required, i expect nothing less. glad to hear everything worked out, you gotta let us know how it sounds...

I personaly like the bose system, I feel its alot better quality then the reg sony stuff.

how much does the original bose head unit cost. because i was going to throw it away and my little brother told me to keep it and now a neighbor wants to buy it from me how much could i sell it for? it's from a 89 camaro

actually though im not a huge fan of sony either but i do have to diagree w/ that statement partially...it is true sony quality in subs, and amps dosent shine but i think he was talkin about mids and highs and a head unit. sony happens to make excelent head units i have installed a few in buddies cars, and they have very good mids for the price (i own sony 6x9s) but as for amps and subs id stay away

Where did you end up getting it from?

well i have heard the bose system, and was very impressed with it, however i like the look and sound of the sony much better. not to mention ill be running larger speakers, and in twice as many locations. Ive been running sony xplod speakers in my RS for quite a while powered by a POS jenson head unit and they sound great.

regarding the cost of the original head unit (dont throw it away by the way) whatever people are willing to pay would be the selling price ;) id be interested but have other priorities right now.

oh and wound up getting the system from the guy from ebay. he sent me the system the other guy won, i stole it out from under him. :) he sent the other guy some other system a customer had.
