Brakes

I read on Autozone website that squeeking when driving slowly maybe caused by a warped brake rotor. Does this sound right? I am overdue on a brake pad change. I have a 2002 Cavalier and I haven't done any brake maintenance yet. We have 64800 km, I don't know how many miles that is. I would really like to handle this myself and I'm in the process of finding a manual. What do you guys suggest.

Buy new rotors and pads... they are really cheap and to swap it all out will only take about 30 min at most for both side.... for the price i would be charged to have them turned down, i just go and buy new everything... that way i know its true.

Yes it could be due to warped rotors. I replaced my rotors and pad about a week ago because my rotors were warped...and the squeaking was horrible. Even worse when I hit bumps. Also another way to tell is if the brakes pulse when you use them.
