I recently installed an MSD GM HEI coil in my car as well as the Rodney Dickman competion short throw shifter and the fiero store side scoop that says fiero on it. These are all less the $150 and very beneficial.
I noticed an increase in fuel economy and better accaeleration as well as better top end from the coil.
Before the shifter my 3rd would grind when I was racing but was cool when I was at low rpms, after the shifter install no grinding and about a 50% throw reducing and even shorter on the side to side.
The side scoop will only be decoration unless you pull the air box out, not fun. The side scoop is mainly for higher speeds when air will be forced in there, but I always drive at high speeds :iceslolan .
I am very happy with the results I have from the 3 products. The shifter and the coil are a must, but the coil over the shifter all day. the coil was 45.00 from advanced auto parts. List price is 79.00

plz don't just shorten ur shifter that doesn't do anything except lower ur hand. Get the comp short THROW shifter from rodney. The fiero store's is $80 Rodney's is only $50.
Hell yeah anything that actually helps and is less then 50 bucks is a hell of an upgrade.

I posted what I did in another thread.....http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=270727&highlight=weight+reduction
Basically I ordered a Borla xr1 2.5 in/out oval racing muffler from summit, then had an exhaust shop custom bent a j pipe and tail pipe. My muffler hangs where the cat was. You can barely see the tip, it points down right before the e brake cable so the heat doesn't affect it. It sounds mean as hell. So when I say custom I don't mean I bought it from some guy who makes them, no I thought it out and had my original idea put to use. The only problem is finding people to work on it if you 86 your cat before you get the pipe bent. You should look at that other thread too.
