sry fellas i no the "which exhaust" question has been brought up enough times to make u all sick, but i want some last minute andvice if u can all bare with me. im gunna order up a catback and h pipe for my 95 gt. iv been listening to clips and reserchign and i had 1 flomaster thunder series 2 magnaflows or 3 a mac cat back. i was at first pushin away from flows because everyone has them. but my buddy has the thunder series on his 94 gt and it gets brody. form the song clips the magna flows soung louder tho. not so much in volume maybee but they sound i guess meaner. like rougher and less european. i could be wrong because my buddys car is a bit different then the clips. but what do u all think. and so u all no im not looking for a pleasant ride i want it to be redonkulously loud. and not just headers comin out for the bottem

These are just all opinions so no one get mad.

Flowmaster American Thunder's hate them all I can say is Dronemaster. I like my exhuast note to change with RPM's not sound the same wether I'm turning 2,500rpm's or 6,000rpms.

MagnaFlow I'm just not crazy about the sound it always tends to have a real pop pop sound.

Dynomax nice tone but always tends to be a little quite for my taste.

MAC I like a lot has a decent rumble at idle definetly not as deep as Flowmaster and the exhuast note gets sweeter with rpm's and louder than Dynomax. Ask Craig(HiFlow) he really likes them on his LX Notch.

Oh hell yeah! I love the way Macs sound, with out a doubt! I will try to get a sound clip of them from my girlfriends digital camera for ya.

Flowmaster Force II's (50 series). Flowmaster sound, no drone! You can carry on a conversation in the car at normal tones at cruise, but WOT she screams! Love my 3-chamber 'flows.

personally i dont think the muffler changes it all that much, its mostly the headers and the midpipe, and i really like the bbk longtube for the deep throaty sound, and the shortys for overall tone, and an h pipe, as for which brand, i like either flowmaster or magnaflow, but thats just my :2cents:

I pretty much have the same headers and o/r h-pipes on both my cars. The GT has Dynomax superturbo's and the Notch has Mac. There is a totally different sound of the two mufflers. Granted H/X pipes with and without cats will make things sound different, but the mufflers is where you get your tone from.

Anyone ever used Aero-Turbine mufflers? Their sound clips are great, as are the performance gains. They have an all stainless consturuction, and no chambers. These add torque, gas mileage, and horsepower even with your stock cats! Never seen or heard them in person, but they seem very impressive. If I had a vehicle, and the money, I would definitely buy them.
*Note:Mufflers are $200 a-piece...

i guess i didnt explain what i meant very well, yea the tone is all from the mufflers, but theres a certain sound you can acheive through a good combonation of headers and midpipes as well, not that im discrediting the fact that mufflers have a huge impact on sound

Yes, changing from shorties to LT's will deepen your tone, H's are rumblier than X's, etc.. but in the end the muffler determines the actual sound. I switched mine from stock catback to my Force II's and I could hardly recognize the car when I started it up to check for exhaust leaks. I didn't change anything else, stayed with the FMS shorty's and Hedman O/R H pipe.
