guy, i have a problem, it has nothing to do with a camaro, but since i talk to you guys, i would rather ask you. my girl friend has a 87 jeep Cherokee. she cant get it started. i have read some of the forum over in the jeep area. she is 2 hours away and i wanted to get a quick responce from someone if possible. she says all the lights work, radio works. the jeep is a peice of shit. she hears a humming in the rear. i remember hearing this once b4 and i thought it it was the rear end. but now that i think of it, i think its the fuel pump or the relay. would that have anything to do with starting the jeep. it will not turn over at all.just hums. she was driving it earlier in the day so its not a dead batt. it could be the started, but i dont think so. i strong feel it electical. please help me out if you can. sorry about this being in the camaro forums, but like i said, alot of you guys know what your talking about so thats why i ask, thank you

I drive my mom's 92 Cherokee right now, because my car is being worked on, and it does this sometimes. Usually it's just after I started it up and moved it, then tried to start back up immediately. Usually I can let it sit for a while, then it will work, but if that doesn't work, sometimes holding the brake and putting it in neutral, then trying to start, it will start right up.
Try that, and if it still doens't work, I'll check the forum tomorrow and try to help you out. I'm going to bed soon.
