I have a 95 camaro z28 with 115,000 miles on it. This winter i plan on pulling the engine and rebuilding it myself. I'm not sure what parts i should put back into it (cam, pistons, rods etc...) but i want to be running close to 400 hp if i can. I dont want to spent too much but still have a high hp car....any advice?

**EDIT**
This was Will69camaro on my gf's name (forgot to sign out)

Building LT1's isn't cheap. Making that kinda power shouldnt' be too hard. When i rebuild mine i will be getting new pistons. Cam, head's ported, and ported intake. Might look into a stroker kit. Expect to spend alot though!

I havn't torn into mine yet but i've heard lots of people saying expect 2k-2500 easy. The top end for my motor alone (heads/cam/intake) will be 3500-3750 but should support 450rwhp without a problem. Still trying to decide whether to build a regular LT1 (355 or so) or build a 396 stroker.
