random door locking on 1999 G20

MY 1999 G20, which I love to death, is driving me crazy. On random occasions, when you unlock the doors, they will lock again automatically. It is not the remote, Infiniti has reprogrammed and replaced it. Infiniti has been working on this problem for two years. Infiniti is currently telling me that they cannot fix the problem. Infiniti has also replaced/repaired:

1. replace door latch and actuator and again reprogrammed remote(left front door);

2. replaced smart entrance control unit and remote; installed SOP main switch; replaced door latch assembly;

3. found pinch wire left rear door switch;

4. found smart entrance control with internal failure replaced control unit;

5. found right front door lock assembly binding; replaced door lock.

6. replaced door lock cylindar left front door;

7. reprogrammed remote all four channels;

8. removed lower dash panel and both door panels/exchanged multifunction relay to newer series;

9. wiring on both front door replaced;

10. replaced sensor switch in passenger door;

It should be noted that no after-market parts/eletronics have been added to the car.

If anyone can provide any advice or info I would be really grateful.

Thanks

JJ

oh ive had exactly the same problems with my 99 Primera GT

the cars been in the Nissan garage 3 times over the last 14 months, first time they changed one lock motor, the second time they stuck all the motors in from a P12 Primera and the 3rd time they blamed it on a bare wire in the drivers footwell.

and just recently its gone again !!

tis really pissing me off too, ive got about 1 second from pressing the open button to get into the car before it locks up again... then once in, i have to operate the lock 3 or 4 times till it opens the other locks and leaves them open

Im about to take the whole lot apart myself to see what i can find as Nissan just look for the simple fix... I'll keep you informed on what i find
:banghead:

here you go... this fixed mine (drivers door)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1103/DavidEvans007/Picture5.jpg

the problem was that piece of metal that links the handle lock to the lock motor, there was a lot of free play in the linkages and the slightest knock would lock the doors... I undid the bolts that hold it in place and moved it to its maximum downward adjustment thus taking the free play out of the rod that goes to the lock... tightened the bolts again and.... press unlock and it stays open !!

happy bunny !
