i have the cdt el-61 components. and they are lacking in the mdibass range. i was expecting alot more from these, has anyone had experience with cdt comps? if so, did you have to tweak them to make them sound better. seriously these things aren't just lacking, they pretty much don't have any midbass at all. i mean, my 4 inch yamaha computer speakers have more mid-bass.

are your doors deadened?

they are in kickpannels, and they are deadened, and they are running off an amp that is doing 70x2. these comps are 150 rms, and they are peaking out on half wolume with this amp that is supposedly underpowering them...

not completely, they have a small vent that i have been planing on sealing up, then i'm gonna stuff the thing with polyfill, and gauge the results, but i dunno how much of a difference it would make....alot?

Actually if they were sealed I was going to recommend that you drill a big hole in the back to let them vent into the carpet. You want them to be IB, if they're in tiny sealed kicks it will kill their midbass output. Also, what is the highpass set at?
