Starter/Alternator issue

I got my 96 corolla tested at Autozone today.
The Battery tested good.
No issues were found with the starter. The tech said that the alternator is behaving wierd. Tech said that voltage is showing up as 1.5v where it should be around 5v. The tech did only a quick test as she could disconnect a cable and was afraid it could break.
The problems I had were ocassional clicking when I try to start and twice I had the starter not disengage for 10 to 30 seconds after successful startup. (I had posted more detailed in the other thread).
I am going to get it checked at Pepboys tommorow or when *they* have the time ...
Anybody take a guess on what could be wrong.

It doesn't sound like an alternator issue--at least the part about the starter not disengaging. It sound like you may have a solenoid problem--like there is some problem engaging/disengaging the starter gear into the flywheel. That can sometimes cause the clicking you described.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I agree worn teeth plus solenoid = sticky operation.
