The one Modeler's part that HLJ doesn't have a picture of. Am I correct in assuming that this is is the set of little red and blue AN type fittings with various bends to the fittings and joints? If not, what is it? What do they call it? Are there any substitutes by manufacturers other than Modelers? Do they not exist and am I on drugs?
Please elucidate!

Why not make your own ones? It's not very complicated and doesn't take forever either but saves you some bucks to put into your next project instead. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=1946867

Yes, I saw some this weekend. It was Evergreen and another company ...can't remember the name of the other but my LHS had a bunch in different diameteres.

I just recieved some plastruct hex rods, and the how-to above is really easy to follow and make realistic fittings.

Here you go, just place your order if your LHS doen't carry Plastruct. I order directly form them without any problems at all.

Which "W" size of the rod do you use for 1/20 or 1/24 scale?

Personnaly, i ordered different sizes, take it just a little bigger than the hose you plan to use

One more thing about these hex rods, they're excellent to make your own nuts and bolts with. Just cut of a slice and apply where you want it, et voilá...you have a prefect six sided bolt/nut instead of the often round items on the models.

The modelers set is a pain to work with but the results can be quite good.
