i was just woundering what's the max punishment for street racing in your area? and whats the max punishment you guys have gotten.

death is the ultimate punishment for it, but as far as the law goes, i've had friends lose their license till they turned 21 (because of how many points they got from it) as well as fines... you can lose your car and there is possible jail time.

In some areas of the country street racing is considered a felony.

a felony wow. have any of you guys gotten anything like that or just speeding tickets and if you get a speeding ticket, do you have any tips on how to get it dumed down or anything?

Jail time, fines lose your license, possibly indefinatly or untill the court sees fit to let you have them back, repo your car the list goes on and on.

I've always heard if you know someone in the court system they can lose your ticket for you but I'm not really sure they would do that for you.

in Australia where i'm originally from they changed the laws recently for street racing. Now if you're caught racing its an immediate minimum 6 month license suspension, possible jail time, huge fine and worst of all they take away your car for a minimum of 6 months and give it back to you minus any illegal mods you had on it.

Here int he emirates where i am now they're too damn lenient on speeders. you can do whatever speed you want and the ticket is around $50 U.S. so everyone speeds like nuts here :rolleyes:

well in nyc, i they go as easy as a ticket, for speeding and wreckless driving which is also a hella lot of points on your licenes, to taking away your car, suspending your licencs and spending a night in jail..

two of my friend died on thursday, just came from the funeral, don't do it.

They just passed a new local ordinance in So Cal (I think Long Beach). There was a blurb in the news about it...cars caught street racing last weekend were impounded and crushed.

OMFG, crushed *tear* not my baby hell no. Now me and redneck are going to have to find a different place to race. After all the loss of his 240z and my Nova, i dont think i could handle it.

I'm from Oregon and street racing is a felony. I've been able to talk my way out of my tickets so far so I've been lucky and dont speak from experience but I've had friends get tickets of $700 and they impound your car, that's when the cop was being lienant.

Washington : Minimum 3-6 month suspension of license, or if you are under 18, license suspension till 18-21. Impound your car for whatever the time period you were assigned, and fines. Plus it goes on your record, so if a cop checks your plates and you are speeding....I'm guessing around a $600 dollar ticket each time....

Just don't get caught, or keep it on the track, or don't race at all.

That's the best you can do here.

here in NY a "speed contest" ticket results in a 6 month license suspension and fines for whatever speed you were clocked at.
