2001 GT Won't Start..

nothing seems to be working on the car right now..

no lights, no stereo, no 4-way flashers, i can't even press the button to read the odometer..

when i try to turn the ignition, nothing happens.. no noise, no attempt, nothing..

is this the ignition recall i've heard about (but not from my dealer saying i need to bring it in), or is it more indepth?! i'd like to get some opinions before having someone look at it and tell me what i have to replace..

with a boost, the car starts, but once the boost is removed, the car won't start again..

could it be that the battery is completely dead, or would it be a wiring issue?!

any help would be appreciated..

If the car will start with a jump then you probably need to replace the battery. Also have the alternator checked to see if it is charging. Since the cars dies when the jump is removed there is no voltage to power the car either from the alternator or the battery and that is why it is stalling. Be sure to check your ground connections and the positive wire to the battery and alternator especially if the alternator tests OK.
