v6 GP misfiring

I have a 2001 GP with 113,000 miles....I know....anyway it has been awful driving it. When I press the gas it seems to be hesitating like something is clogged. I have changed spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil. I took it to auto zone they said it was a sensor but the code that came up they had never seen before. I took to a mechanic he said it was misfiring...so not real sure. Think it could be 02 sensor? Please help...gas mileage sucks and service engine light on.

Do you remember the code that was pulled??

Sorry no I had it in my car but the #'s wore off I want to say it was something like 2480 I will check on my way home today and let you know.

I have no clue....I will have to look for my receipt...when it comes to cars I know nothing..all I know is they need gas, oil, fluids......oh and a wash in my spare time

oil needs to be changed, probably the air filter, but the BIG thing is what the code was. you could be driving in open loop and that would explain the conditions you mentioned.

Just had the air filter changed. I just called the shop they said they had the motor out...ran into some problems...scary...

Had plugs, wires, gas filter and top half of motor flashed. Still missing and "Check eng." light on. Back in shop as we speak. If I don't run out of money, I will let you know what it was.

Just had the air filter changed. I just called the shop they said they had the motor out...ran into some problems...scary...

oh shit, they had to take out the motor. must be more than just the timing belt. maybe cracked piston? well i'm sorry to here that, hope things work out now.

Just updating you.....they reprogrammed my computer and said at the moment it is running fine...said he was going to drive it a few more times and see if it holds

That sounds great. They been working on mine for two days and it's still messed up. I told them to keep the radio and build a car around it. Oh wait, The display on that is not working right either.

Hey I had that problem the second week I had mine. Dont you wish it were that easy "build a car around it"...I think its trade in time for me...almost paid off but thats usually how it works.....I will let you know if anything changes and I still want to know the outcome of yours.
