Over the past weekend i bought a black 98 camaro and it is light as hell for an fbody but here's the thing, i got it because it only had 50k miles on it and only cost me 5500, so i want a car with ttops, is it possible and how much would it cost to have it done to get ttops installed on my car?

Your best bet is to sell her and buy one with T-Tops if thats what u want...
The factory does the best job putting them in...

t-tops only leak if they arnt put on right. ive got an 89firebird XS with custom fit t-tops to go with the 89 firebird and i dont have any trouble with leaking at all. and i live in seattle, so thats realyl sayin somethin. i had my t-tops custom put on by the dealership. it was part of the special package the firebird XS came with. id recommend either buying a car with t-tops already on or going to a dealership in which your gonna spend a pretty penny there.

Food for thought!
Convertible and t-top cars have reinforcement added to them at the factory, ie; reinforced beams below the sheet metal, subframe connectors, or x braces in the frame. This is for the lack of support that the body is providing. If you have a car with any power you will know that the body flexes when you punch it. With out the propper reinforcement your car will tweek under stress.
Little know fact:
Convertibles are actually heavier than hard tops, becuase of the extra support.
Atleast the 50-60s are.

your right the conv. are heavier
but the newer cars with ttops dont have any extra support under them compared to the non ttop cars. ttops conversions have been done. its not as hard as youd think but its not somethign you wanna do by yourself in your driveway either. i will try and find the link to the one who has done it. they turned out really nice and im pretty sure they didn't leak.
if you really want to do something rare get some subframe connectors and cut the roof off like the corvettes and supras. that would be so hot!
