over heating... maybe timing HELP

okay droped a brand new 2.8 in my maro, well now she runs hot 220 ish. i know the timing is off what is the exact timing supposed to be? help she starts up ok but then it boggs a lot. please help

220 is normal on my 91 RS

220 isnt really running hot.. Did you burp the system after you put the new engine in? it'l help a bit to lower engine temp...

well what year of camaro do you have

hes got an 88

220 is when the fans are programmed to come on...
