Hey Guys,

New to this forum-just bought a 04 double cab prerunner TRD and so far so good. I couldn't hang with the gas prices over here anymore, so I'm going to sell my 96 Dodge Ram with 8.5" of lift on 35x12.50s, 4:56 gears, etc. and I bought the tacoma. I don't really care for the TRD decals on the bed....have any of you removed these decals? Any special technique?

Thanks in advance!

Hair dryer works well also. It should peel off easily with fingernails.

Don't forget a bottle of "goo gone". It's the best for getting out the left over sticky stuff. I put some on a rag and rubbed out the sticky. I also had a bucket of water handy. I didn't like it being on my truck for long. After using the goo gone, I washed the area of my truck really good with car soap to get all the oil from the goo gone out. Then I waxed the area really good. Try it on a small area. It worked for me. Good luck!

It was a bear getting the deteriorating TRD decal off my 2000. I tried a bunch of stuff like Goof Off.
It left a shadow that requires wax frequently.

be careful with a heat gun, as YOU CAN OVER DO IT, but that's what i used...that lighter fluid stuff....ronsonol or sumthin....it kinda helps to take the goo off...after 3 years the goo was kinda hard to remove on mine...the shadow wasnt too bad, and after a year it was gone?!?!?(its the old dark green)....once you get the technique(the right heat+pealing the right speed) u can get big sections off without leaving any goo...

I picked up at PepBoys an aerasol that is made specifically to get stickers off vehicles. I can't rememebr the name but it did a perfect job.

You can always do what I did though on my TRD sticker. I accidently took one of mine off with a power washer at the car wash.
