hey i need soem help.... i have a 89 mr2 and wehn ever i take it to my drift pratice palce i alwasy have this question in the back of my head....... dose power stearing helps with drifting..... im pretty new to drifting but after i turn my stearing wheel lefft to and give it gas to get the rear wheel to loose traction i notice that its so hard for me to counter stear..... back to the other way cuase my car don't have power stearing...... is it like that with everybody or am i totally doing it wrong.....and after turing my wheels around to the other side i realize that i would sometiesm catch traction really sudden and it would be hard...... im usually going about 30-at max 35.... and when my rear wheels loose tractions my rpm is around 3.5 to 4000 rpm..... (it red lines at 7.5)... do you guys got any tips on makeing it smother?

it catches quickly because the cars have a bit of snap oversteer, and at 30-35 you aren't going fast enough to "drift" effectively.

make a smallet angle sou you can countersteer less? I dunno.

hmmm that migh works cause usually i make a big left turn first before counter steearing..... i'll try that but i got to wait for it to rain or snow cuae i don't want to wear out my tires....

Give up on drifting in that MR-2. Like that guy stated earlier, it has tendency to have snap oversteer. Not even the pro's can drift accurately in an MR-2. Gotta watch that weight transition.

drifting mr2's is alot harder than drifting any FR Don't "give up" on it it just takes practice. Go to www.mr2oc.com tons and tons of info for mr2s. I came up with this comparison: MR2's are like high maintenance rich girls they take alot time effort and money to keep them happy to treating you right but when it happens it is so sweet you'll have smile on your face for weeks with every accomplishment.
