does your belt squeak?

I have a 98 Talon that squeals whenever it is humid or rainy. It is kept in a garage so the car doesnt actually have to be wet first. When I first start it up it squeals pretty loudly but after driving it a few miles it usually stops. I tried the belt dressing spray some time ago without any luck. I even had the belt replaced but the noise came back. It always begins to squeal if I take it through a car wash with an under body spray in the winter. Anyone else have a similar issue? Any ideas?

I've heard that you want the belt to be tight enough that you can't twist it more than 90deg...
You might want to check into type of belts... I don't know if they have crappy and great classifications!!! lol
Mine only squeels for about a minute but will do it anytime if i'm poundin the KORN on my sub... if it's loud enough I don't even hear the squeel so I don't care!!! LMAO

Usually it squeeks because the car isnt warmed up yet, my car does the same thing but when you just sit and chill for a few minutes and let the car warm up then it goes away

make sure all the belts are tightened to the proper tension....and if you can't tighten them anymore and it's all teh way, i'd say it's time for new belts. that's usually why they queak is from under/over tightening.
