i bought this a a garage sale and i figured it had soem potential, its going to need some work, ive got plenty of plans for like, opening doors, working lights, its going to have shaved emblems and whatnot, but i have on problem, i cant find any parts for it, all i got was the body, chassis, some interior and the wheels and tires. if anybody can help me find parts such as rear end or entire drivetrain or suspension conponents it would be a great help.

wheels look like they are a bit 2 big
but hmmmmm for the drivetrain you could always try the engine kit revell makes, i think it's 1/10 (i dunno, i just think it is)
or you can always makes everything from scratch!

I think this car is 1:8 scale. I have the 1:8 scale kit, 1965 Corvette by Monogram. Sorry no spare parts though.

It realy looks like the 1/8 '65 Corvette by Monogram. I have one extra, PM me what parts you need and I'll check if I can find them.

you can try to use/buy 1/10 rc parts such as suspension, axles and drive hub.

I love this car in a red similar to a ferrari red. Or a black. This will be a build I will look forward to!

if it is 10th scale, then Parma/PSE makes a 1/10 scale hemi engine. that would be a good starting point for an engine, and as joecwlaw said try out the R/C suspension parts

Lot's of easy off oven cleaner in the heavy duty can. I use it on my ABS plastic 1/10 Tamiya R/C car bodies.

does any one know where i can find a set of chrome 1/8 rc wheels that would go with a classic vette like this and dont look like they belong on a honda. they can have lo pro tires to, thats what im going for

parma made an rc car called the hemi coupe, you could use the wheels off there. its 1:10 though so might be a bit small....I think i have an 85 corvette somewhere also in 1:8.

Tape up the window openings and trace it from the inside. REmove the tape and use that as a template to cut some clear sheets with. I haven't tried it with complex front windshields like that but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Put the strips of tape from top to bottom so that you can preserve the curve.

What did you cut the sub box out with, it looks very jagged. The body is looking good, but more pictures would help increase replies.

i scored it with an exacto knife and the simply broke it off but i had to file it to get it to fit right and thats what made it a little jagged, but im going to make a custom council and putty all the edges on the box so you wont even notice them, whats funny is that those small computer speakers inside your case and perfect for this scale of model, and yes i model(sig) check it out, http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=326545

Progress looks good so far. I can help you on the engine if you want. Small block, big block, blown, injected, tri power, dual or single 4. Manual trans. or soon maybe an automatic. Can probably dig up some wheels, but they would be more like vintage drags. Can also do a hood and side vents to turn it into a '67. Just a warning though, 1/8th scale taint cheep.
