Overkill?

Hey everyone, I have a 93 lx, and I want to add a 75 hp shot of nitrous. The car is lightly modified, full exhaust, 73mm mass air, k&n filter. Would the 75 shot be too much? Should I upgrade the fuel system first? If so, what should I do to it.

75 shot on a 5.0 is not overkill.....You should be okay with up to 125. You can get a wet, and that way you don't have to get a new fuel pump.

I would not get a wet unless it's a fogger(direct port), the N.O.S. or Edelbrock sandwiched plate style. Running fuel through the upper EFI intake manifold which unlike a carb it was never designed to do. Is not a good idea.

what is the difference between a wet and dry kit. The kit I was going to get has a nozzle that goes into the intake tube. Im not sure if it is a wet or dry kit.

a wet kit injects fuel along with nitrous from the same nozzle. a dry kit just adds nitrous and lets the engine computer determine the correct amount of fuel. usually you have to upgrade your injectors when you run a dry kit.

Wet kit will use a seperate line to inject the more fuel required for the nitrous.

A dry kit will trick your fuel system to seed more fuel than the computer does through ya injectors when the nitrous is being used.

The kit I am looking at requires me to tap into my fuel source via my fuel pressure regulator. It the runs the fuel and the nitrous through two solenoids and then the lines come together at a the nozzle and into my inlet tube right before the throttle body. From what I understand from you guys this will not require any more engine/fuel upgrades. right?

Not for up to a 125hp shot.... but like I said I reccomend against dumping fuel into your upper intake.... it was never designed to flow anything but air.

Start off with a NOS Big shot, and if that's not enough, then move up to a Pro-Flow kit........Just Kidding, there's an AWESOME Venom kit, it's like $1,300. Other than that, they're not that different, except for ZEX. I am personally not a fan of the Zex kit, that computer scares me.

I reccomend before like up top Edelbrock and N.O.S kits which has a plate that is sandwiched between the upper and lower intake manifold. It is a wet system that is pretty much a fogger set-up(direct injection).
