Cheap Tricks

My dad has a 2000 2500 Silverado with the 6.0l. We've installed a K&N, and done some exterior work also(hopefully superchip and exhaust). He just bought a set of the 265/16 All-Terrains, and loves the look and feel. The tires give the truck more of a 4x4 look now, and I suggested raising the front end up since Silverados have a tendency to rake forward. I had heard(in this forum, I think) that a part off the the same year F-150 suspension would be able to be installed on a Silverado, and raise it up some. If this is true, could you expand on it some. I wish I could post some pics of the truck, but our digital camer takes too large of pictures. The exterior looks like this:black, stripped of 4x4 lettering, pinstriping, and Chevrolet emblem, red painted calipers, small red bowtie on back window, paint-matched grille(like Z-71 Tahoe + Suburban. We also plan to install some fog lights. I really think the raised front suspension would help the truck gain a more aggresive stance. Any info on install, or whatever would be appreciated.

Ok, what you need to get, are the torsion bar keys for the ford. The keys are cut at a different angle where the bar mounts inside, and allows for more adjustment. I don't think they're much more than like $40 from your dealer, but you can check it out on ebay, or on www.fordparts.com (http://www.fordparts.com) .
