is there a v6 grand am manuel from 2000-2003? im getting conflicting info..i looked up on autotrader for v6 manule and only a few came up..can someone please set me straight? thanks

nvm i found my answer..hows the 4cyl stick though? nice pep? any good aftermarket support? i knw its 150hp, and i looked on consumerguide.com, looks like they didnt make the v6 stick for sure, guess they just posted the wrong info on autotrader

there was never a v6 or 6 cylinder grand am from 99+ or any year for that matter. Maybe one of the older 70s models did, but i dought that too. from 99-05 there were two different 4 cylinders. There was the 2.2 ecotec motor that made 140hp and the 2.4 Twin Cam motor that made 150hp. Both a basicly the same in performance, the ecotec has more GM support then the 2.4. Go with which ever one you want. But he 2.4 can be interchanged with alot of the older 2.3 quad4 parts like some from the 180hp and 190hp motors. But then the 2.2 can have alot of GM parts for it. So its a toss up and comes down to what you want more.

i want to be able to get 200hb w/o turbo...(i dont need maximum perfomance driving to and from college, but i want a fun car to mess around w/ civics n integras..) o BTW..is there an american version of the 170hp v-tec?
