headlight switch

I have a 1990 rs camaro and I am in the process of trying to put a heater core in but I need some help....Can not figure how to get the headlight switch to come off so I cane remove the guage panel....

PLEASE HELP!!!!!! any advice would be great!

I just held the metal part and pulled the plastic knob off.. it worked and i didnt break anything.. theres a little metal clip inside that holds it on
