Help me make my car look good and be good

Hey all,
I'm new to cars and im new to my new GTI 98 vr6. I want to make it look very nice. I would like to know what kind of rims and tires i should look at, what kind of lights, how do I make my car go faster and how much it will cost me, and also how to i get better gas mileage.

get better gas mileage by keeping it stock, search the forum for ideas. Buy a vw magazine. There are many exterior as well as interior mods you can do!!

the performace mods are the same for all NA cars, exhaust, pulleys, cams, headers, etc.

as for looks, what DO you like?

For rims I would like some nice racing ones(chrome). WHat size drop is good lookin? maybe some sideskirts and new lights?

please please please don't go to vwvortex with these questions do your research you really sound like you know nothing about cars no offense but when someone says "racing rims crome" i really know nill in the rim department but that is just really bad man get back to us when you read a little.

dude if you got money you can make your car look good! but first put a exost system and intake..... you dont want to be a ricer or a poser... what ever you do dont put stupid stickers on your car that says nos and shit like that

Acualy if you get the NOS sticker it adds like 2-5 horses at the tires

Style is all about taste, do u what you think looks good. Who cares if some calls it rice, as long as you like it then who cares.

Definatly do not go on vortex an ask things like this, read up and look at the cars on there and decide what you think looks good. Vortex will definatly help in seeing what is avaliable, which is alot.

The easiest way to get real power out of the VR6's is to put a turbo/super charger on them. You can get serious HP from one of them the problem is that it costs around 5K to do it. If you are real serious about this and have no idea send me an e-mail ([email protected]) and I will help you find some performance mods that will fit your budget. As for looks, it all depends. Most of the body kits for the MKIII look the same to me but it is all personal preference.

Hey this is his 1st car. Remember when we had our 1st cars? Ok GTIman18 How much do you really want to spend on MAG rims(magnesium)? They can be really expensive around 2500-3000 for not much gain. For decent rims I'd suggest BBS rims classy and not blingy.
As for go fast parts Cold Air Intkake, Exhaust, Chip.
How far do you want to go with your car? How much money do you want to spend? Do you want to turbo or Super charge your car.
Just let me know your budget. I can then get a good understanding of what you can or want to do. Good luck. Good questions you have to learn sometime.
