Had a couple people post me back and tell me I should change out my crap chip I bought off of ebay and put my stock chip back in. I have called all the regular people in my area for this kind of five minute job and some of the prices are a little ridiculous. I happen to know the person who installed the chip for me socketed it. Is it possible to just switch it myself? And after it has been done I should remove the battery cables for 10 mins to reset my ecu? Just trying to save a couple bucks that could go towards a cat back or something. Thanx again.

If you still have to stock chip, then it's a sinch. You just have to pop out the ECU cover and locate the chip. It's on the lower left hand side. You just need something to carefully pry it off without damaging the connector teethlike things. And be careful not to touch any part of the inside of the ECU (including the chip) using your fingers. After it's out, slide the stock chip back in, put on the cover and screw back the nuts. Store the ebay chip in a piece of aluminum foil to prevent damage.
