88 fox reverse lights?

I own an 88 fox. My reverse lights fail to come on, all other lights work perfectly. What could be the problem and how do I fix it? if anyone can help, that would be great. thanks.

The fuse is #12 under the dash, but the dash instrument lights would be out also. You should check if both bulbs have blown. Otherwise you'll need to check the switch in the transmission.

Thanks. The fuse is good and my dash lights work. How do you access the switch in the transmission?

It's a simple two-wire switch with two black/violet wires located on the transmission. Access from under the car.
