How do you replace indicator lights in a 95 Yukon????

I was given a new blue indicator light set and want to know if is worth the time to replace them with the original indicator lights which one of them flickers. It seems like it wouldn't be that hard to do but I have read a post of someone with an Explorer wanting to do the same thing, but someone replied that he would have to disconnect the Airbags, take apart the steering column, basically indicating it is alot of work and probably not worth it unless you know alot about cars. Does anyone know if it is different for GMC Yukons or know where I could find info on how to change the dash indicator lights?

Thanks,
Ryan

Indicator lights? u mean the things in the dash like signals etc? if so - all u do is pop off the dash peice dissconnect the headlights, and if u have them rear window open and rear windsheild wiper, and the 4x4 switch if u have it.. and then its off, then take the screws out of the odometer panel.. and u may have more screws.. but then there is wires that connect to that panel in the very back when it is loose, u will find them.. (i havent taken this off yet but i have taken it off in a 96 Dodge Ram... it isn't that hard... and u dont have to mess w/ the steering colum other than lowering it down to get the plastic off from around the dash.) ooo Wait.. dangit i just typed all this, and now i read its a 95 Yukon - does the 95 have the big rectangle dash.. or is it like my 99? anyways - it will all be the same, ethier your plastic will pop off or in the 95 it may have screws to screw off... like my dodge.

Thanks for the response, I already pulled the whole dash unit and replaced the bulbs to blue. It was alot easier than I expected. Unfortunately I wasted alot of time doing that because I later found out that it is illegal to change the service engine lights, ABS brake lights, Check oils lights, etc.etc. to anything but red or orange. It was stupid of me to not thing of that before hand. I guess I can see their point, just like all stop signs have to be red which indicates warning stop. Rignt now I am looking for a used abs unit motor for my yukon and have gotten alot of quotes from the local junk yards, but I have been told that I should get the abs unit with the ecbm at some online sites because alot of them will warranty their parts for 30 days or more? What do you all think?

Thanks
Ryan

Eventually I will sell it and if I don't get a job in the next couple weeks, I will be selling it in the next couple weeks. So I might as well leave it as it is. Thanks for telling me that, I didn't know that

Is it a 4 door or a 2 door?

It is a black 2 door GT with 135k. The 2 door Yukon or Tahoes are my favorite SUV's. If the gas prices were not so damn high, I would do anything I could to keep it. Even though the 2 door gets better gas mileage than the 4 door, it is still a guzzler. Even if I won the lotto, I still wouldn't get a humvee or denali or any other SUV. I would right away look for the best 2 door Yukon or Tahoe and then I would deck it all out! I don't know of any other SUV that is sharper.

yeah that figures... i have always liked the 2 doors, and it is rare to find a 2 door GMC yukon around here, u can find all kinds of the Big body blazers, and Chevy Tahoes.. but not Yukons
