Best way to remove bubbles ?

As topic, what is the best way to remove the ugly bubbles from the body? I did my very first spray last night (i did not apply primer not sand the surface before the spray, only a simple soap wash:( ) and to my horror the bubbles came out. Any advice?

You have over-spray your model with rattle can. My way to solve it is let it dry completely, then sand the area that with bubble. Wash it and primer it and color lastly. That will be fine, but maybe strip paint with 'Dot 3 or brake fluid'.

Use primer. Oh, and look through the FAQ, i think there is some stuff in there that might help with this problem.

thanks guys. I've read through the FAQ but still quite fuzzy about what exactly a primer is and how it helps in making the body look better. Is brake fluid really that strong to strip paint the body?

That happenend to my nice S2000. 3 small buble on the front bumper..

It's not a big deal.. wait few fay. sand with 1200grit sand paper (800 if you can't get rid of them, but not more) then spray again ligther this time. You will probably have to spray the whole body again since the "fume" will lay down on the other part and make a rough look. you can get rid of that with compound

DOT 3 is good enough to remove the paint. It won't melt the plastic as I just tried for my first time.

As soon as you have finised painting you should notice a bubble forming. If you are quick enough you can pop the bubble with a pin. If the paint is still very wet it should cover the pin hole and flow nicely back over the area.....but it needs to be done within the first couple of minutes or it will leave a mark. Also, if its in a area that is not to noticable it will be fine.....dont try doing it in the middle of the roof or bonnet.
If this dont work, your only way to remove the bubble will be to allow the paint to dry and sand the area and repaint.
Another thing that will cause a bubble is water trapped under the paint....how long did you wait after washing?
You need to wash the model and leave for a good day to dry before painting.

Did you let the body dry long enough after you washed it?. I normally let mine air dry for a day, because just a tiny bit of moisture can ruin a paintjob.
Also if you applied a really heavy coat of paint, that can cause bubbles to form.

thanks for the advices guys :) I guess I applied too much paint. Should have been much more patient :D Well, how about using hair dryer to blow dry the body to make sure it is completely dry instead of letting it wait for a day or so?

I use a hairdryer to dry the body and then spray sometimes. I haven't had any problems yet..

i just had the same problem the other night. what i did is i poked the bubbles (while the paint is still wet) with needle to release the air.
