Bad gas mileage? Try this...

I'm new to these forums but have always liked working on my own rigs. I've read a lot here about poor gas mileage on F-Series and wanted to donate some info. About six months ago I decided to put some "Slick 50" in the engine oil (during oil change of course!) of my 1997 F250 XLT (5.4 Liter - 75,000 miles). WOW! What an improvement! My gas mileage is almost 50 percent better! I don't cry at the pump as much even with the $2.00 a gallon prices. On and off my truck hauls a camper and an 18 foot Bayliner and sometimes at the same time so this was a lifesaver last summer for me!!! $$$

I was so impressed that I put a quart in my wifes 92 Ford Escort wagon (however I don't know how much difference it has made since I don't drive it that often and she is of course clueless). I'm even thinking of putting it in the inboard Chevy 350 engine that's in my Bayliner.

If your rig has 60,000 plus miles, I HIGHLY recommend it. I would NOT put it in a rig with less than 50,000 miles.

I would like to hear what any of you experts out there think of this product. I have been told it can cause a great deal of heartache if you want to rebuild the engine but I'm not really sure what problems would arise from this.
