Need some help -- cd changer

I have the 95-00 delco unit with the 7 band equilizer on it, but the cd player quit working, I want to put in a cd changer rather tahn get a new head unit. Are there any units out there that will work with the existing controls on my unit? if not, what have you guys done as far as adding on a cd changer?
I'd like to get a 6 disk so that i could possible mount it in my glove box?
any ideas? thanks for you help

I have a pioneer cd player and 12 disk changer mounted in the trunk. You could probably just pick up a tape deck to replace the head unit. It is best to use the same brand cd changer as the head unit.

..yea i figured that would work, but im trying to avoid a new head unit for 2 reasons, 1. i like the red/orange color of the lights and 2. gm for some reason decided to make their factory unnits 2 inches sshorter than everyone else so it looks like sh*t when the aftermarket one is hanging out 2 inches beyond the dash. thanks for your help tho.
anyone else try anythign that works with the existing stereo?
