sup all... hope you guys can help me a bit. Last week i went out to the track and can my car "95 civic ex auto" :( that was the first time i wever went adn raced legaly and i now regret it. I now no loger have Reverse or Neutra this is kinda a good thing seeing that i want to swap a manual into my car i have about $700 to do the swap i just need to find all of the right parts and findout what types of tranys will go with my motor. i have the stock SOHC 1.6 L Vtec with a few mods on it so i want to keep it till the motor blows. i dont live in a big city so i will need to travel to junkyards or get my bro to look for stuff for me. today he found a crx at the U-Pullit in St.Pete and it has most of the stuff i need i m just wondering if it will work? can someone please give me an idea of what 5 speeds will fit my motor. any questions about my car you need to know just ask! PEACE!

do a search of exactly (without quotes): "manual auto conversion" and you'll find a list of parts you need for the conversion. Also you'll want any D-series tranny from a '92+ civic. The CRX one is a cable transmission and your car requires a hydralic transmission.

Yeah, you get a cable tranny and your screwed. Stick with the 92+ trannys.

ok well i found what i need to get. but the big thing is where to get all the suff. its hard to find the suff in a junk yard if there are none around you... i have a upull it here in town but all the cars there are like 90 and below... i would hate to travel like 200 miles somewhere to find out oh they dont have the car im looking for... are there any sites or places the sell the conversion would save much time... if i can find a place all the stuff would be cheap from a upullit that is...$70 for the tranny and linkage and cant be much more for the rest...even better anyone selling anytype of swap stuff let me know... well i guess it will take a bit to find all of the stuff i need hu. guess ill get to work and if anyone can help let me know.... peace! /EDIT/ oh i live in gainesville FL so if anyone knows any good salvage yards or upullit other than the one here let me know pls.

If you don't have anything constructive to say then don't respond at all. All you'll do is annoy people, make yourself look like an idiot, and eventually get yourself banned.

was it me that did something wrong if i did i would like to know what it is. and about what i found is the post on what i will need not the actual parts. still in the prosses of looking for everything or debating a b16 swap found a place 1500 for complete conversion.

^^ No not you Kuntry_Boi06 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=242842) it serves no purpose to post nothing related to the topic at hand.

$1500 for complete coversion isnt bad. That does incluse the engine, tranny and labor right ?

www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

Go there and you will find everything you need. They are expensive though.

nope the $1500 is just for the complete swap not the installation.

Don't get the LS tranny unless you're just looking for better gas milage. The gearing is way too long so you'd be better off getting a b16a tranny.

i just got a wrecked 97 integra ls.... $600 too my door - it seems that eveything i read says that it is a "direct bolt in" is this statement correct? if so sweet! if not what do i need - i have the whole car but its seperated behind the drivers seat. the fire department took the jaws of life to it - also it's 5spd... and i still have the auto d16 vtec in my 95 civic ----- for an update what i have been doing with my car. i got all the stuff needed for the 5spd swap then got the 97 teg yesterday! so oh well... what will i need out of the teg? motor, tranny, shiftlinkage, axels, harness, master cyl and lines, pedals, ECU, and TCU correct - if you can think of anything else dont forget to post! i hope people will still look at this thread!

Axles, I don't think that year teg axle will work in the 95 civic.

so i might need to get new axels. if so what will i need to do? will i have to swap my current outside axel joint to the teg axels. or if the tegs are too long swap the inside to the civic axels?
