i just replaced my ecm. i found it in a junkyard out of a 1992-94 eclipse. i own a 1992 talon non turbo. the ecm is from an automatic my car is standard. the main numbers match up. is there a difference? cause now my car runs but the check engine light is on. which could just mean there is something else wrong. the engine idle high and then it pulses up and down at idle. could it just need another part replaced or is the ecm wrong? Just let me know. cause my car blew the ecm bad and i was told it could have messed up other things. im gonna check the codes and see what happens now that i know how to do that.

The 1g Autos use 390cc injectors, the manuals use 450s. So you are off by about 15%. Could be enough to cause trouble, maybe even a fuel trim CEL. You're pretty much stuck getting an AFC o similar, or modding back asswards to 390s if you want to use that ECU.
