Knock sensor

I just scanned my car. I got P0332 code (knock sensor 2 circuit low input(bank 2))... Can anyone tell me where this sencor is located in my car 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT... SES light went off after I cleared codes but came back 10 minutes later I know it pick up error again... Thank you...

Look on the engine block just above one of the freeze plugs. Usually they are on the back side of the engine block. You will need a 1/4" pipe plug to stop coolant loss unless you drain the coolant. Or if you are quick enough you should be able to replace it without losing much coolant. I would check the connector first as it may just be corroded or loose.

Thank again... I went and took a look.. what happen is that the cable was cut before the plug labeled#3... Can I just buy this harnesh and replace or am I better of taking my car to the dealer and have it done????...

if you can reach it and take that section off, you could just solder it back together. just make sure you have a good connection and use a shrink wrap on it. just make sure you find out what cut it first before you put it back on. i don't think you have to go to the stealer for this.

Chompipe, I'll check my service manual disks tonight to see if I have an end view of the plug and pigtail.
I'll let you know.......that is if I don't get banned in the next day or two. I'm having a bit of an issue with one of the mods on here right now. He doesn't like the fact that, although I'm not getting a paycheck for trying to help people here, I'm not all business all the time. Guess we'll see. BTW, the mod I'm having trouble with IS NOT GTPDAD, he's great!
