Anybody know where I can get codes checked for a 1992 ranger? Or can I buy a code scanner at a fairly decent price. I gave it a regular tune up, but the engine idle is irratic, and the gas milage sucks. Just want to find out any possible problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You might be able to go to an AutoZone if you have one were you live. Also you can go to a ford dealership and they can scan your ecu for the codes. Also you can go to this web page and buy one. http://www.aeswave.com/products/Products.asp?mi=30&sa=Y&vp=1

Only problem is it's about $244.00

You will need to buy an Obd I tester. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I called the autozone store here and they told me that they only have an obd II tester. I'll Try the dealership. Thanks again.
