will any motor interchange w/96 eclipse?

i have a 96 eclipse 2.0 non turbo I NEED A MOTOR i need to find a used reasonably priced one! so what i'm wondering is if ppl could PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE OUT IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER MOTORS THAT WILL INTERCHANGE! thank you so much

the only motor that will fit without alot of custom fabrication is the one in there now.. the 420a (2.0 n/t)

your going to want to find a motor from a 95-99 eclipse n/t (excluding spyder its different) or if your head is good a block from a doch neon may work. Im not sure if the mounts are the same but i know the exhaust and intake ports on the head are reversed (exhaust by firewall, intake by radiator on neon) so your need at least a good eclipse head if you do that. im not sure on your best bet as to were to find a motor but you might try dsmtrader.com of coarse ebay. i believe theres a few others guys chime in with anything... good luck

nope no other engine will replace yours except for another 420a. if your looking to put in another type of engine then your looking at dropping alot of money on custom fabrication. it would be cheaper to just buy another 420a motor and swap it in
