green or orange??

ive been looking to flush the radiator on my 99 gp gt but im not sure if i should stick with dex cool or change to the "green stuff". any suggestions? if it helps my car has about 40,000 miles.

Good question. I've done some research and I got so many different opinions that it's somewhat hard to decide what to do. I've heard that dex-cool is fine as long as I flush it way before the 5 year or 100,000 mile limit. For example, every two or three years. Then I hear that it's best to just switch to the "green coolant". Personally I'm leaning towards switching to the green stuff as long as I can completely get the dex-cool flushed from the entire cooling system. Including the heater core.

Go with the green. Dexcool has way to many problems (clogged heater cores, damaged seals) Remove your t-stat and be sure to flush completely and empty/rinse the overflow bottle. Fill with 50-50 or 60-40 (antifreeze-water) but no generally no higher unless you live in an arctic zone.
