Ok heres the thing, im poor. haha anyway I started out looking for a GSX but they are way to rare for the things i want preferably manual, and out of my price range. So I went to GT-Ts but had the same problem. So now ive gone to the GS level and found a car i like its a 1996
GS Spyder and its only 5800. Its got leather and its a CONV! But alas Ive heared that Spyders are heavyer and thus slower than a normal GS.
Regaurdless I would plan to get a turbo(not sure what kind) but I think it could be pretty sweet. Theres a downside though, its got 96,000 miles :(. This isnt that bad right? since its not a turbo? thx for the input guys!

putting a turbo on a nt will cost significently more then getting a turbo car to start with.

well that all depends if you are gonna upgrade the turbo on a stock turbo charged car. Why buy 2 turbochargers when you can buy one and get what you want the first time around.

ya, really look into getting a turbo off the bat. look for a 97 for the newer 2g bodystyle, or a 95-96. if you can find one that is mostly stock, it should last forever. putting a turbo on a non-turbo car is no easy nor cheap task...

First off i wouldnt pay 5800 for a '96 Spyder with a 100,000 and a 420A.

Secondly if you want a turbo car buy a turbo car its cheaper in the longrun.

and third if you want a turbo kit for a N/A engine hit up hahn race craft. check the vendor list for the site. my opinion save some more money and/or be willing to look longer and you can find a turbo model eclipse in your price range. i only had to look for a month. ;)

it does.. and a stock 4g63 turbo manifold will bolt up to it.. so would just about everything else... i believe jake wrote something about it in the n/t turbo sticky a while back..

however... 5800 bux for a 96 nt spyder is a lil high i think. if i were you id consdier a talon.. i mean shit iv seen prolly 4 or 5 around here on autotrader or what not between 5-6k with that kind of milage... and im talk tsi awd's too.. now if your bent on a sphyder.. well then id still try to find a gst but this would do in the long run if moneys not the biggest issue at hand... peace

edit: oh and you can do a 97-99 eclipse conversion on that talon for a few hundred i bet....

i thought the spyder gs has a 4g64?

it does i had a slight memory lapse. the heavy ass spiders needed a larger motor to pull their fat asses around.lol. oh well if its not turboed is it really worth remembering???? ;)
