My buddy just got a 2000 Camaro SS and he's got some decent $$$ and he was wondering what would be a great simple starter mod that would produce some horsepower and torque. ANY input is appreciated...thanks

Intake lid and catback would help a bit.

is it a pretty easy procedure to hooking up the supercharger? if it's simlar to a turbo i think we can handle it...me being a "ricer" guy i understand what would be safe boost and such...however i myself don't know off the top of my head what consists of a supercharger and what companies he should go with...haven't dealt with the ls1 before...

from what i've heard it's pretty easy it's just time consuming, i was looking at a supercharger for my car and they said you can install the kit in about 6hrs

A supercharger is a lot easier to install than a turbocharger.. Turbos are a much more costly and time consuming project..
But, you mentioned you were looking for a simple starter mod.. I dont think supercharger falls under that catagory..lol
But, start with your BPU's.. Like Dober said Intake and exhaust should be first on the list.. PCM re-programming is also a good investment... PCMforless has been mentioned a few times, or a Hypertech programmer and a 160degree t-stat..

Than if you think the engine will handle it, get a few K&N or NOS stickers and LOOK OUT!
